- Court-appointed Technical Consultants at Tribunale di Bergamo (Italy) – qualified specialties: large structures, dam engineering, structures and materials for nuclear plant.
Teaching activity
Teaching activity as assistant and adjunct professor in various courses of Structural Mechanics and Fracture Mechanics at the AUIC, ICAT and III schools at Politecnico di Milano. (see also…).
Research activity
The scientific research activity concerns the numerical modeling and experimental characterization of traditional and innovative materials for structural applications. The main topics investigated concern the study of the mechanical response of materials with quasi-fragile behavior, the physical-chemical-mechanical coupling in highly aggressive contexts (chemical and nuclear plants, composites for aeronautical and space applications), carbon-negative materials.
Supervisor and examiner in M.Sc. theses on the aforementioned research topics.
Technology transfer
Numerical modeling (static, cyclic, dynamic) of the mechanical response of materials and structural systems in industrial and infrastructural contexts. A detailed description of the consultancy activity is in the dedicated page.
Advisory board memberships
Senior technical advisor for Nuclear Materials and Structures in CAELUS – Enabling nuclear
Hobbies
Passionate about Catholic theology, in particular the relationship between early Christianity and Greek philosophy. Poor, but passionate, cyclist and hiker.
